Tax Preparation & Planning
Individual, family and small-business returns, prepared carefully and explained clearly.
Returns that are prepared, reviewed and explained
We prepare federal and state returns for individuals and families, self-employed professionals and small businesses. Every return is reviewed before it is filed, and we walk you through the result so there are no surprises.
Tax rules change and every situation is different, so we do not offer one-size-fits-all answers. We prefer to start with a conversation about your circumstances.

Questions about Tax Preparation & Planning
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Bring last year’s return if you have it, your income documents (such as W-2 and 1099 forms), and records of any deductions or credits you think may apply. We will confirm exactly what is needed once we know your situation.
Can you help with returns from earlier years?
Often, yes. Tell us which years are involved and we will review what is needed. It is better to raise this early than to wait.
What if I receive a letter from a tax agency?
Do not ignore it. Send us a copy and we will explain what it says and tell you plainly whether it is something we can help with directly, or whether another professional would serve you better.
Will you tell me how much I will owe or get back?
Only once the return is prepared from your documents. We do not estimate outcomes in advance, because they depend on details we have not yet seen.
Would you like to talk it through?
Request a consultation and we will explain how we would approach it, and what it would cost.
